- The Board of Trustees, “BOT”, is the governing body charged with providing continuity and consistency in line with the organization’s service goals. BOT will provide supervision, control, direction and disbursement of resources, for purpose of furthering the objectives of the organization. Thereafter, various committees, consisting of members/volunteers, execute and effect programs in line with those objectives. The committees remain accountable to the BOT.
- POOIA’s bylaws summarize the objectives and contain rules governing its structure and management. Among the matters they address are the election, duties, and terms of Trustees and officers, as well as the operation and structure of the Board of Trustees. The bylaws may be amended by the Board of Trustees.
